I laid her in her seat, remembering to buckle her up, before crossing to the drivers side and hopping in. I drove out of town in complete silence pleased that the steps in my plan were falling into place. It was so easy to fool this silly, trusting little girl. "Is everything alright?" I was jolted from my thoughts of murder to find Buddy standing at my side, his arm wrapped casually around my waist.
"Everything's fine. Right dad?" I glared at my father as I spoke the last sentence, trying desperately to convey the fact that I wanted him to leave.
Dad crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at Buddy, "That depends," he drawled, "Where else are you planing on taking my daughter?"
